Project-based Learning

Antwerp International School

In Grade 12 at Antwerp International School, all IB Diploma students complete an individual investigation for their science subject. This investigation counts for up to 25% towards their final grade in the subject.

Students are free to choose the topic for their investigation and the students need all the investigation skills that they’ve developed during their time in Secondary school. Not just how to set up an experiment or investigation, or how to analyse the information, but also - most importantly - critical and creative thinking skills. As such, it is a culmination of key skills that they’ve developed throughout their AIS career.
